Masham is easily accessible by car from the A1 travelling North or South. Alternatively visitors can arrive by a more scenic route via Ripon or The Dales.

For visitors travelling by train the nearest mainline stations are at Northallerton (14 miles away) and Thirsk (15 miles away ). Both stations are on the East Coast mainline connecting London with York, the North East and Scotland.
Buses from Ripon take approximately 30 minutes with buses from Northallerton (travelling via Bedale) taking 55 minutes.
Once at the cottage you can hop on a bus to visit the historic city of Ripon with its cathedral, journey to Middleham - home to Middleham Castle and famous racing stables, venture onto the market town of Leyburn and take in the delights of Richmond - also home to a castle and an abbey as well as a unique Georgian theatre built in 1788, which is open to the public to visit.
